I consider myself pretty damn lucky to have something in my life that gives me so much joy. Since 2006 my motorcycle Silver and I have travelled to British Columbia to enjoy mountains, wine, adventure, and fun. On my first trip I would never have dreamed that my tours would become an annual event, or that I would have the good fortune to take such impressive tours seven years in a row.
I was all over the map when it came to planning this year’s motorcycle tour (pun intended). After the amazing adventure on last year’s Road Warrior Tour 2012…where I put on more kilometres than any tour so far over a whopping 20 days…I was at a loss to top it. That tour marked a milestone for Silver and I…we have now officially ridden on every single paved highway in southern British Columbia. I can now proudly call myself the Lord of the Roads.
There was talk of mixing it up this year…riding to California…or Yellowstone…or Sturgis…or Alaska and Northern BC. While attempting to plan another blockbuster tour full of fun and laughter for all, the fates smiled upon me throughout the winter with opportunities to tour- not once, not twice, but thrice. This was an opportunity I could not pass up.
So, with a whole year’s worth of anticipation built up, I present my 8th annual motorcycle tour- not just one tour, but for the first time ever a trilogy! I will be announcing each episode individually in order to maintain some element of surprise and intrigue, and each episode will feature a new twist on my touring experiences. This will definitely be a summer of firsts.
For those new to reading my travel journals, a short recap:
