Day 6: The Importance of Being Idle

Thursday 5 July 2007

I spent most of the day running errands in preparation for the houseboat adventure that starts tomorrow. I had to get new sunglasses because I discovered that I left a flap on my bag open while riding yesterday, and my glasses must have fallen out while I was riding. It turned out to be a positive because I was able to find a pair with the same frame style with gold iridium polarized lenses- which I prefer to plain black.

I need to find a positive when I do something so stupid that ends up costing so much.

The rest of the day was spent sipping on wine in the afternoon and going out for dinner in the evening. I went to the Creekside Pub down the street from my motel to take in something that I discovered last year: 10 cent prawn night. I could sit and eat A LOT of prawns for really cheap, which I did. Gotta love British Columbia- you can’t get this at home.
