Today was a catch up day. After being in this heat for so long and traveling all over the Okanagan, I needed a day to relax. This was that day.

This was also the day that my friends Scott and Gill were coming with their friends Erin and Arron from Vancouver to go wine touring with me. But they weren’t getting in until late this evening.

I went for walks throughout the day to get some fresh air (another damn hot day), but spent most of my time drinking wine in my air conditioned room. Made a lot of phone calls this day and just generally hung out.

No big stories. No adventures. That’s it.

Scott, Gill, Erin, and Arron got to the motel at about 10:30. They were tired after the long drive so we went over to the Creekside for some beers. There was a ‘band’ playing…which was actually just two dudes: one who played the keyboards and sang and the other who played guitar and harmonized with the other guy. They had a pre-programmed bass and drum machine to provide some rhythm. They were pretty mellow. Like Barry Manilow and Eagles mellow.  Put me right to sleep.
